My Practice
About Me
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience helping people navigate life transitions, intergenerational and multicultural issues, burnout, relationship and family conflict, trauma, anxiety, and a broad spectrum of relational issues. I have worked with folks from all walks of life in treatment and assessment-based clinics, academic medical centers, community hospitals, and private practices in New York City, New Jersey, and London (UK). I have specialty certification in Prolonged Exposure Therapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder through the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety. I have published in various peer-reviewed academic journals and presented original work at national and international conferences, and remain active in clinical research.
I work with adults in individual and couples therapy in the states of New York and New Jersey, and across the United Kingdom. I am also available for consultation, workshops, and speaking engagements.
My Approach
My approach is evidence-based, collaborative, and tailored to your particular issues and needs. My treatment style is integrative, rooted in a contemporary psychodynamic framework and drawing on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT) techniques.
My own personal background bridging different cultures as an immigrant and expat has illuminated the importance of how we build our own narratives - exploring the stories we tell ourselves can help us uncover deeply held beliefs, expectations, and inner conflicts that might be getting in our way. I am committed in our work together to creating a warm, nonjudgmental, empathic environment - along with a dose of levity and pragmatism - to help you make meaning, gain insight into underlying patterns, utilize tools, find solutions, and access your strengths and potential.
Taking the step to seek therapy is courageous. Investing in the psychotherapeutic process asks you to challenge yourself and make a commitment to your long-term well-being, growth, and fulfillment.
When you are ready, please reach out so I can answer any questions and discuss how we might work together to help you achieve your goals!
